Imagine having a piece of history back in the skies. Julian Mitchell has spent six years restoring a 1941 Hawker Hurricane, one of the most iconic British fighters of WWII, and it’s coming along surprisingly well. This unsung hero of the Battle of Britain was responsible for 60 percent of German Luftwaffe losses in 1940, and Mitchell’s restoration project has brought it back from the brink of obscurity. With plenty of work still to be done, Mitchell is hoping to get the Hurricane flying again soon. For those interested in owning a piece of history, be sure to check the links in the video description for more information on this incredible project.
